QRdee is a browser-based static QR Code generator that does not require an account. The service creates QR Code previews and downloadable files and, when consent is granted, uses usage data to assess and improve the website.

QR Code details and logo processing

QR payloads and form values, such as URLs, text, Wi-Fi passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, and contact details, are processed in your browser to create the QR Code. The QRdee application does not upload these details to a QRdee server or include them in custom analytics events.

An uploaded logo is validated and converted to PNG in your browser, then kept temporarily in memory and object URLs during the session to create the preview and downloads. The filename, logo, and generated PNG or SVG files are not stored in localStorage or sent in custom analytics events.

localStorage and cookies

QRdee uses browser localStorage so certain settings remain on the same device until they are overwritten or you clear the site's data.

Google Analytics data and purpose

After you consent, QRdee uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, successful QR creation, downloads, and general usage so the website can be assessed and improved.

QRdee custom events send only qr_type and locale for qr_generated, and qr_type, locale, export_format, export_size, frame_preset, logo_source, and safety_state for qr_downloaded. They do not send QR payloads, form values, generated URLs, filenames, logo data, payload hashes, or derived identifiers.

Google Analytics and your browser may process supporting information through Google's systems, including page URL and title, referrer, IP address, time, browser and device metadata, client or session identifiers, and information from cookies or storage. This data should not be described as fully anonymous.

Consent, decline, and changing your choice

Analytics is denied by default. Before consent, QRdee does not create dataLayer or gtag, load the Google Tag, or make a Google Analytics request. You can allow or decline measurement in the privacy banner and reopen Privacy settings to change your choice later.

If you change from allowed to declined, QRdee sends a denied consent update and blocks future application events named qr_generated and qr_downloaded. Changing your choice does not erase data sent earlier, and a Google Tag that has already loaded cannot be unloaded. Google may therefore still send cookieless consent or enhanced-measurement pings, such as scroll, according to its behavior.

External provider and retention

Google provides Google Analytics and processes Analytics data on Google's systems under Google's terms and policies. QRdee can use controls in its GA4 property for the retention and deletion of some data, but the period that applies depends on the property configuration and Google's policies. This page does not state an unverified retention period.

Security limitations

Creating QR Codes in the browser reduces the need to send QR payloads and logos away from the device, but no system, browser, device, or internet transmission can guarantee complete security. You should protect your device, downloaded files, and the information you choose to encode.

Review status

This document describes verified technical behavior of QRdee and Google Analytics. It is not a legal compliance certification. Human Privacy and Legal Review remains pending and must be completed before the policy is legally approved or additional advertising or tracking is enabled.
